WELD AND TAB TABLE, 2022, INQUIRE
Four sheets of stainless steel, each five millimeters thick, are transformed by laser-cut tabs and slots. The precise and deliberate cuts guide the assembly into a three-dimensional form, ready for welding.
Each weld-filled trench becomes a visible scar, a testament to the industrial process and the fusion of craft and technology. The stainless steel, left raw and unadorned, bears the marks of its making, a testament to the honesty of materials.
A simple table or stool emerges, its construction a deliberate expression of modern fabrication. The object, unburdened by ornamentation, reveals its essence, a pure distillation of form and function.
