An order was placed for slabs of solid ash from our local lumber yard in Berlin. We only specified the amount and thickness and a few days later two beautiful slabs were delivered. The expression of light and dark, sap and heart wood unique to ash gave way to the design of three seating objects expressing the slabs in three-dimensional forms. Each object is made from machined slabs with our dovetail detail. The parts assemble from themselves and no tools are required.
