Beech Footer is two or maybe even more things in one, but mostly it is a foot rest. Sitting at a desk with the right proportioned foot rest can alleviate back pain and the Beech Footer was made with this in mind. Fabricated in-house using left-over beech wood from a house in Lankwitz, it is both a foot rest and a stepper for reaching things 245mm out of reach. Three 40mm thick solid beech boards were joined using a sort of tongue and groove dado cut and then glued together. The cuts were made with only a table saw, and deeper cuts on the final passes create a gap feature in the joinery.
