This proposal for the Vegetarischer Metzger subverts the iconography of the butcher shop. The seemingly traditional storefront masks a conceptual inversion – a vegetarian “slaughterhouse.” Industrial materials and a concealed entrance create a disjunction between expectation and reality. The folding steel structure introduces a note of the unexpected, hinting at transformations and concealed spaces within.
